The Best Flowers for Fall Weddings - Reverent Wedding Films™ Skip to main content

Fall is the perfect time of year to hold your wedding. The colors are so pretty and the leaves make for the perfect aesthetic, not to mention the perfect weather too! If you want to have a wedding that matches the beauty of the fall, then you need to have the perfect bouquet. Here are five great flowers to use in your fall wedding bouquet!

Asiatic Lily

The Asiatic lily is a gorgeous flower that encapsulates all of fall’s colors. In a season where the colors of the flower are as important as the look of the flower, the Asiatic Lily is the perfect flower to accomplish both of those goals.

Generally, the Asiatic Lily is on the cheaper side, with vendors selling them for as low as $5 for nine flowers!

Dahlia

Regardless of the time of year, dahlias are one of the most beautiful flowers in any bouquet. Though they first bloom in the summer, the cool air of fall actually produces more dahlias and causes them to grow more intense in color. Dahlias are one of the most beautiful additions you can possibly make to your wedding bouquet.

Depending on the length of the stem, Dahlias can range from $1-$5 per stem.

Chrysanthemum

Chrysanthemums are the most popular fall flower by a margin. Their intense fall color and combination of the color of the petals and the golden disc florets in the middle of the flower give chrysanthemums a beauty not rivaled by many other flowers. “Mums” generally bloom at the beginning of fall and last through the season until a heavy chill hits them.

Because of the fame surrounding them, chrysanthemums are one of the most expensive flowers on the market, being sold for anywhere from $5-$9 per stem.

Purple Alstroemeria

The Purple Alstroemeria, also known as the “Peruvian Lily” is one of the most eye popping flowers you could imagine. Its light purple color gives it a unique color compared to the other flowers due in the fall, and it gives the buyer more bang for their buck, as each stem can have up to three flowers blooming.

The Purple Alstroemeria is not an expensive flower for how pretty it is either. You can expect vendors to sell them for about $12 for a bunch of five stems.

Leucandendron

The Leucandendron is the flower to take if you want to add a shock of pink to your bouquet. Better known as the “Safari Sunset”, the Leucandendron is a plant with a rich pink flower at the tip of an exceptionally long stem. The Safari Sunset will grow in the fall but is able to withstand the cold weather, and is still in bloom during the colder months of fall as well.

Leucadendron are generally sold for around $2 per stem online.

If you use any of these five flowers in your fall bouquet, your guests will be in awe of how beautiful your bouquet looks as you walk down the aisle. If you want to have a wedding video that is as beautiful as your bouquet will be, schedule a call with us! Happy bouquet building!
