YOU MAY LOVE CINEMATIC IF…
YOU MAY LOVE DOCUMENTARY IF…
Still not sure? That is completely normal. Watch our side-by-side examples and our team will help you choose the style that best reflects you.
COMMON QUESTIONS
No. Both styles receive the same professional care, color treatment, audio work and quality-assurance process. The difference is the creative approach and the feeling of the finished film.
Absolutely. Documentary does not mean unedited or unfinished. Your film will still be professionally selected, colored, mixed and crafted. It simply favors natural movement, genuine sound and an immersive presentation over a more cinematic approach.
Your wedding remains authentic and true to you. During appropriate portions of the day, your cinematographer may provide gentle direction to help create flattering, intentional imagery. Genuine interactions, reactions and emotions remain at the heart of the film.
Every wedding naturally contains both cinematic and documentary moments. Your selected style determines which approach leads the finished Highlight Film. Complementary elements may still be included when they best serve your story.
You will select your preferred Highlight Film style before your wedding so our cinematographer and editing team can approach your day with your finished film in mind.
